I created this wildflower photography website to share my appreciation of the beauty and diversity of our wildflower natural heritage. I am a photographer, not a botanist or website guru so there are no bells and whistles here, just a simple website with beautiful wildflowers. If you feel like contacting me to exchange information I will get back to you at the first opportunity. I am an ethical photographer so if you are willing to share some special places or rare wildflower locations I will appreciate learning about new places and plants of special interest.
All the photos through 2012 were created using a Fuji S2 digital SLR camera. For the 2013 season I retired the large and heavy Fuji S2 in favor of a much lighter and smaller Sony NEX-7 with 30mm macro lens. Most of the time I use a slaved flash to assure sharpness and as good of a depth of field as the conditions allow. I carry along a few accessories to help separate the main subject from distracting backgrounds using light, though a mower or scissors are not in my bag. When I need to, I have no qualms about fine tuning a photo with the computer. I hope you enjoy the photos.
